Elko County Sheriff Drone Team will be on site and will provide a couple of equipment demos throughout the day, check the event schedule for times.
Want to try out flying in a helicopter? Come out to Skyfair for $50 ‘Quick trip’ rides (1/10th hour). If you were here last year you know that the line was a mile long, so get in early!
The EL AERO Helicopter is doing more than giving rides during Skyfair. Triple Nickle will be doing parachute jumps throughout the day and might perform a few flight maneuvers that you don’t see on a daily basis from a helicopter. Keep an eye on the sky.

Inside the El Aero hangar right next to our flight school aircraft. Try your hand at flying the sim & chat with an instructor about learning to fly the real thing.
Vendors, enter from Mountain City to MURRAY WAY, right turn only. Tell the traffic directors that you are a vendor and they’ll direct you to the gate. Once inside the gate, turn left at the first road and find your spot.
Food trucks can drive directly to the parking lot as shown.
Vendor vehicles will be parked along the fence are area 2 after setup.
For general parking: From mountain City Highway, turn onto either Terminal Way or Aspen Way, then onto Thomas Gallagher Way and enter at the gate. Personnel will be on site to direct you. If parking is full you can find a spot on the street nearby.
For handicapped or Elderly parking: We have a drop-off area on Murray Way. From Mountain City Highway, turn RIGHT onto Murray Way. After dropping your passengers can exit RIGHT onto Mountain City, or park in the dirt lot as space allows.
If you are walking in to the venue you may enter near the El Aero building.
Tethered rides will be available EARLY MORNING at SkyFair. Check the schedule of events for more details.
We’re pleased to welcome Silverhawk Aviation from Caldwell Idaho to the Elko Skyfair. They are bringing a Robinson R44 helicopter and will be offering helicopter rides at $60 per person. Ride is approximately six minutes in length.
Times are subject to change with the weather or other considerations. Aircraft on site may vary with the current Fire load of state agencies.
This will be a ‘SECOND SATURDAY’ activity.
